Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) Training with CCA practice exam is Guided Learning with live session + self-study and includes enrollment for CCA Practice Exam. You will self-study at your desk, at your pace.  Full access to the training material as soon as enrolled.

CCA Course:

You will have 8 hours of live session with your CMMC Instructor divided into three days.  Candidates will be provided with the training course material containing over 500 pages of explanatory information, examples, exercises, and quizzes. Live sessions are held in a rotating basis allowing candidates to join the next sessions if their schedule does not permit attending any particular date/time.

A Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) applies a rigorous Assessment Process to ensure the relevant security controls have been effectively implemented and that there is evidence that these controls can be sustained.

This course covers identifying the scope of an Assessment, assessing the CMMC Level 2 practices, and using and established process and workflow to enable efficiencies during an Assessment.

CCA Practice Exam:

You will receive CCA Practice Exam access key for online delivery after enrollment.  Practice Exam uses the same weights as the official certification exam for the domains, providing the equivalent balance of item coverage for preparation. It mimics the actual Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) exam with 150 Questions and 3.5 hours-time limit per take. Unlimited re-takes are allowed.

Prerequisites

This course is designed for Certified CMMC Professionals (CCP) who are interested in becoming Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), as well as Certified CMMC Instructors (CCI) who want to teach this CCA course in the future. This course is also beneficial to employees of Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Organizations Seeking Certification (OSCs) because an understanding of how CCPs and CCAs think during an Assessment will ensure better Assessment readiness.

To ensure your success in this course, you must have the foundational cybersecurity knowledge of a Certified CMMC Professional, which you obtain by taking the following course and exam:

Course Objectives

In this course, you will apply the CMMC Assessment Process to validate the performance of cybersecurity practices in the 14 domains derived from NIST SP 800-171. You will:

  • Establish key elements of your responsibilities as a professional CMMC Assessor.
  • Work through an Assessment.
  • Validate the context and scope of a Level 2 CMMC Assessment.
  • Assess the practices in the following domains:
    • Access Control (AC)
    • Awareness and Training (AT)
    • Audit and Accountability (AU)
    • Security Assessment (CA)
    • Configuration Management (CM)
    • Identification and Authentication (IA)
    • Incident Response (IR)
    • Maintenance (MA)
    • Media Protection (MP)
    • Personnel Security (PS)
    • Physical Protection (PE)
    • Risk Assessment (RA)
    • System and Communications Protection (SC)
    • System and Information Integrity (SI)

 

Assignments

There will be at least three assignments to be delivered online. These assignments provide the CCA candidate with hands-on experience in CMMC Level 2 assessment. They will be reviewed by the instructor to ensure the candidate is on track and is progressing through the content successfully.

 

Final Exam

CCA Course includes a final assessment test that will measure how prepared the candidate is for the “Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA)” exam. Passing score (70/100) for this test will be a pre-requisite for accessing the Cyber AB provided CCA exam.

Reminders

1. You must be a CCP in order to obtain CCA certification. First, complete the CCA application process and obtain your CMMC Professional Number (CPN). Register with the Cyber AB at https://cyberab.org/CCP-Registration and sign the Professional Code of Conduct (CoPC). You will need to provide us with a CPN by the completion of your training so we can update the Cyber AB on completion of your training.
