The Nation’s international trade deficit in goods and services increased to $42.6 billion in October from $36.2 billion in September (revised), as exports decreased and imports increased.

GOODS AND SERVICES

Exports decreased to $186.4 billion in October from $189.8 billion in September. Goods were $123.1 billion in October, down from $126.6 billion in September. Services were $63.3 billion in October, up from $63.1 billion in September.

Imports increased to $229.0 billion in October from $225.9 billion in September. Goods were $186.5 billion in October, up from $183.7 billion in September. Services were $42.4 billion in October, up from $42.2 billion in September.

For goods, the deficit was $63.4 billion in October, up from $57.1 billion in September. For services, the surplus was $20.8 billion in October, down from $20.9 billion in September….
